The aim of endodontic treatment is to remove all infection from the root canal. The root is then filled to prevent infection recurring. Root canal treatment is a skilled and time-consuming procedure. All work is carried out whilst looking into your tooth with magnification (operating microscope).

The signs indicating that you need endodontic treatment include pain, prolonged sensitivity to heat or cold, tenderness to chewing, tooth discoloration, drainage and tenderness of lymph nodes along with neary bone and gum tissues.

After removing infection, we place a crown or other restoration on the tooth to protect and restore its full function.

At our clinic, root canal treatment is very successful, with long-term success rates. However, there are some individual cases that infection comes back.
